Evita UK Tour

16th June 2014

In February, Tyne Theatre Stage School provided 17 adults and 25 children for the UK tour of Evita starring Marti Pellow at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle. We had a tremendous time and it was great experience for the children to work with a fully professional company. Photos are available under our "shows" tab.

The company were so impressed with everyone that we were asked to join the cast yet again at the Sunderland Empire in June 2014.  Everyone has loved performing in this truly spectacular production which has now transferred to the West End, were up for the road trip if they would like us to join them.

A special mention also to Maia Wilkinson and Ruby Taylor who shared the solo role in Santa Evita, and sang impeccably every night. The company manger said it was like listening to angels sing and that they were the best soloists they'd had in the country. Always great to get positive comments, so proud of all TTSS pupils and adults involved.
