Patrons of Eldon Square and the Metrocentre were very surprised on 27th July when TTSS students rocked up in the form of a Boris Johnson Flash mob. The event was organised to promote one year to the London Olympics. It is definitely one of the oddest things weve ever been asked to do but was also fantastic fun, it's not everyday you see 30 Boris Johnson's busting out a street routine :)

Disco Bursary

At our second bursary auditions held in January 2011, TTSS students amazed us once again with some fantastic disco routines! Pupils auditioned for the chance to receive one of three bursaries which means receiving free disco lessons for the summer term 2011.

The standard on the night was excellent, and it was great to see so many students with such top quality choreography, performance and audition skills! There was a huge variety in styles of routines from street to hip hop to 70's disco and even some rock thrown in for good measure! This made it extremely difficult for staff to decide on three winners! Instead one runner up was chosen from each age group and 5 bursarys were awarded!!! The runners up and winners are listed below:

Runners Up: Lucy Slater (Firework) / Taylor Marr (Dynamite) / Brooke Bousfield (You Should be Dancing)

Bursary Winners: 6-9yrs: Phebe Dalby (Forget You)

10-12yrs: Charlotte Jones (Poison) & Charlotte Forster (Oh My Gosh)

13+yrs: Beth Clarke (Raise your glass) & Rebecca and Sophie Edwards (Harder Better Faster Stronger)

Congratulations to all who auditioned - we are already looking forward to next terms auditions!! Watch this space to find out which subject it will be............
